A Letter from President SMith

Dear Students,

Welcome to College of Saint Mary. From the moment you arrive on campus, my hope is that you experience something many students tell us they discover here—you feel like you truly belong.

At CSM, you are not just another face in the classroom. You are known and supported. Students often share that what makes this community special is how personal the experience feels. Professors know your name, mentors care about your goals, and classmates encourage you to grow and succeed.

At the undergraduate level, we are proud to educate women in an environment designed to help them discover their voice, build confidence, and step into leadership. Here, women are encouraged to lead, speak up, and pursue opportunities that prepare them for meaningful careers.

At the graduate level, we welcome both women and men from all backgrounds who share a commitment to learning and making a difference in their professions and communities.

The mission of the Sisters of Mercy reminds us education is about more than knowledge. It is about purpose. My hope is that during your time here, you feel supported, challenged, and inspired to become the leader you are meant to be.

You belong here. And we cannot wait to see the difference you will make in the world.
The best is yet to come!
