Nursing Program Outcomes

We are committed to academic and professional success for every nursing student. One key measure is first-time NCLEX-RN pass rates. We have set a benchmark that at least 80% of graduates will pass the exam on their first attempt.

Since 2022, the national average for First-Time Pass Rate has ranged between 83% – 91%.

Program completion rates are another key measure of student success and are required by our national accreditor. We expect at least 70% of nursing students to graduate on time, within the stated program length starting with their first nursing course.

We measure job placement to ensure graduates launch their careers quickly. We expect at least 80% of graduates to be employed in their field within six months of graduation.

Upon completion of the BSN program, the student will:

1. Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment while delivering culturally congruent, client-centered care.
2. Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure safety when working with clients across diverse healthcare and community-based settings.
3. Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration across diverse healthcare systems, promoting a culture of open dialogue, shared decision-making, and collaborative problem-solving.
4. Incorporate evidence-based practices (EBP) in the delivery of healthcare across the lifespan.
5. Understand the fundamental elements of the quality improvement process and its role in achieving positive healthcare outcomes.
6. Utilize information and technology to support informed decision-making in an ever-changing healthcare arena.
7. Exhibit leadership and professional behaviors by upholding the ANA Nursing Code of Ethics and fostering a culture of accountability, respect, integrity, and continuous professional development.

We measure student success through first-time NCLEX-PN pass rates, as required by our national accreditor. We have set a benchmark that at least 80% of graduates will pass the exam on their first attempt.

Program completion rates ensure student success and meet national accreditation standards. We expect at least 70% of nursing students to graduate within 150 percent of the stated program length, beginning with their first nursing course.

We measure job placement to ensure graduates launch their careers quickly. We expect at least 80% of graduates to be employed in their field within six months of graduation.

Upon completion of the PN Program, the student will:

1. Apply clinical judgment to provide evidence-based, safe, holistic, and culturally congruent client-centered care across the lifespan.
2. Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration, mutual respect, and shared decision-making when interacting across the healthcare team
3. Ensure safety by utilizing appropriate standardized practices in various healthcare settings.
4. Information and technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
5. Incorporate leadership, legal standards, and ethical principles within the scope of the licensed practical nurse.
