Nathan Hankenson, AA, BS

Nathan serves as the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment at the College of Saint Mary, where he leads recruitment strategy and supports a team of admissions counselors committed to student access, belonging, and academic success.

He brings experience from both secondary and higher education, including roles as a classroom teacher and positions at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Metropolitan Community College. These experiences shaped his belief in education as a transformational pathway and strengthened his understanding of how students navigate transitions from high school to community college and into four-year institutions.

Nathan’s commitment to mission-driven work is deeply rooted in his family life. Regular family dinner nights with his wife, along with being an involved uncle to four nieces and two nephews, have reinforced the importance of creating environments where individuals feel supported, valued, and encouraged to grow. He and his wife also share their home with their dog, Indy, and cat, Mango, who keep life both joyful and grounded.
